1. “Criticisms are like homing pigeons. They always return home.”
Mention someone who is willing to accept criticism and is working to resolve the problem. People never admit their flaws. Do you believe that if you criticize them, they will correct themselves? Remember that you’re dealing with people’s emotions and feelings when you’re dealing with them.
Whatever you say and do will have an emotional influence on the individual. And they’ll think you’re not the perfect person to condemn, so they’ll start looking for your flaws. They’ll just suggest that you fix your mistakes before blaming others. When you criticize someone, instead of correcting themselves, they try to criticize you back. So don’t waste your time criticizing others.

2. “Only knowledge that is used sticks in your mind.”
It makes no difference how many skills you’ve acquired or how many books you’ve read. It only counts if you put your knowledge to good use. If you don’t use your knowledge, it will gradually fade from your mind. It’s not about how much you know, but how well you use what you know.
Do you remember the algebra you learned in 10th grade? For example, you couldn’t remember it no matter how hard you tried. What has become of those memories? However, if mathematics is your field, you can easily figure it out. because you put this knowledge to good use on a regular basis. So, whatever you learn and whatever knowledge you have, make an effort to put it to good use. It will always stick if you do so.

3. “The only way I can get you to do anything is by giving you what you want.”
You can’t influence someone without giving them something. When you give something, you will receive something back. To increase sales, even a business must provide free samples, offers, and discounts.
For example, reliance jio. Reliance, one of India’s leading network providers, has taken the globe by storm with its marketing and commercial strategy. For three months after its commercial launch in September 2016, Jio gave free services to its consumers for three months. This strategy worked as a trump card for Jio in gaining subscribers. In just one month, Jio was able to gain 16 million subscribers. They extended the free services to subscribers for another three months on the occasion of the new year in 2017.
Jio is the first telecom firm to offer clients a free six-month trial period. Jio has more than 300 million active users after only two and a half years in business. It took Bharti Airtel, its competitor, more than 19 years to attain this milestone. Such was the strategy’s effectiveness. You won’t be able to attract clients until you use these marketing methods. If you go for an interview, the employer will only hire you if he believes you could be a valuable asset to his firm. So you should offer something to entice people to do anything.

4. “Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.”
It will give you an advantage if you can recall someone’s name. People appreciate it when someone remembers their name. Similarly, forgetting someone’s name will put you at a disadvantage. It’ll be like throwing more fuel on the fire. So keep in mind that you should never forget someone’s name. Whatever you do is more essential. It could be a career, a business, a family, or anything else.
Make an effort to memorize everyone’s name. Imagine returning to your old school after ten years and finding that your professor still remembers your name. What kind of bliss would you experience? It’s simply a name, yet it has a lot of meaning. As a result, every name matters.
The most crucial thing to remember is that misspelling someone’s name is extremely embarrassing. People don’t appreciate being called by the wrong name. It’s possible that they mistook it for an insult. If you’re not sure what someone’s name is, approach them and say, “I know it’s the sweetest name that starts with a letter,” “B,” but I’m not sure how it should end.” Make a good impression even if you don’t remember their name. You’ll notice a difference if you try this the next time you forget someone’s name.

5. “Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude.”
Happiness is a state of mind, no matter what position you hold or where you reside in the world. Even a king with the entire kingdom may be unhappy, yet a beggar in his country may be delighted to receive an apple. Happiness is not found outside of you; it is found within you. You can choose to be joyful if you want to. You can’t be joyful when you’re looking for excuses and defects. You don’t need money, you don’t need people, and you don’t need expensive stuff to be happy.
All you have to do now is realize that happiness is a choice. Some people appear to be happy at all times, regardless of the circumstances. However, no matter how good things go in their lives, some people will never be happy. You are the source of your happiness, not others or things.

6. “All men have fears, but the brave put down their fears and go forward.”
No one can live without fear in this world. Everyone has different kinds of fears in various aspects of their lives. It’s all about how you deal with them, though. The sole difference between successful and unsuccessful people is how they deal with their fears. Successful people face their fears head-on, whereas unsuccessful people allow their fears to dominate them. Fear is nothing more than a figment of one’s imagination. Another well-known statement that I’d like to mention is that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.
Assume you’re in a hospital, seeking medical advice for a fever. You’ve been waiting for a doctor for nearly an hour. Meanwhile, plenty of ideas may cross your mind. You may develop a phobia of injections. You were thinking about the injection for the entire hour. You get anxious about getting an injection. When you see a doctor and he injects you with medicine, however, it takes less than a minute. Yes, it has been completed. That’s all it takes.
However, you wasted an hour of your life worrying about the pain. Isn’t that so? It is up to you to figure out how to overcome your fears. Don’t let your fears stop you from achieving your goals. It’s quite acceptable to make mistakes. It’s even acceptable to fail. It’s never right, however, to let your fears meet your dreams. However, it is never acceptable to allow your fear to confront your dreams.

7. “Action speaks louder than words.”
“Do you like me?” you might inquire. They simply respond with, “Of course! I do.” Does this imply that they like you? People that truly care about you will go to great lengths to help you. You can tell how much people like you by their actions rather than their words. When you meet someone, a simple smile on their face can tell you if they like you or not. People may forget what you said, but they will never forget what you did. You will lose your faith if you make false promises. The acts of others speak louder than words.
Some people simply wish their spouse a happy birthday. Some people, on the other hand, throw surprise parties, make plans, and do other things to make their partners happy. It doesn’t matter how much money you spend; it’s all about how you act.
If you are a good and talented student, stating “I will come first in my class” over and over will not earn you the pride and respect that you will earn when this fact becomes reality. Everyone will know sooner or later if you are the first in class that day.
It is a universal reality that when you achieve your goals and work hard for them, your actions will always speak louder than your words. You won’t even be required to explain your accomplishments. The rest of the world will find out.

8. “If you want to gather honey, don’t kick over the beehive.”
The term “kick over” refers to the act of kicking something over. You won’t receive the honey you want if you do that to a beehive, but you will get a furious swarm of bees ready to sting you.
So, if you want something from somebody, it’s probably best not to hurt their feelings. If you do, you will not only fail to achieve your goal, but you will also likely provoke angry people to assault you.
By pointing the finger at someone or hinting that it is their fault, we put them on the defensive, and they will do everything they can to protect themselves. We can appeal to the emotional and sympathetic side of the person by asking, “I need your help,” and expressing your problem with respect, and he or she may go out of their way to help us.
